Paul Cheever is a Consultant with Access Capital Advisers where he supervises the venture capital investments of the firm’s superannuation clients, including the Westscheme venture portfolio, considered the largest institutional venture portfolio in Australia as measured by the number of its underlying interests. Paul has been involved in the formation of all six of Australia’s Commercialisation Collaborations which represent partnerships between institutional investors and Australia’s leading research universities and institutes to promote pre-seed and seed commercialisation investment in Australia’s research discoveries. He remains today highly active in four of these Collaborations.
Having emigrated to Australia in 1971, Paul has worked in finance and investment for over 37 years, holding senior positions in merchant banking, corporate finance, investment and superannuation organisations. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington & Lee University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and is a Fellow of FINSIA.
